When you own a piece by Hector Aguilar, you have a treasure. Mexican silver by Aguilar is always of the finest construction, materials, and design.  Aguilar's silver designs borrow heavily from pre-Columbian motifs--his style was bold, dramatic, and beautiful in it's simplicity.

Aguilar began his career as manager of William Spratling's Taller de Las Delicias in Taxco. In 1939, he left Spratling and established a workshop with the Los Castillos, the Taller Borda which he ran until 1966. Aguilar died on September 19, 1985, the day of the earthquake that nearly destroyed Mexico City.
