Maggie Howe was an American who settled in Mexico in the mid 20th century. Her enamels "influence an entire generation of Mexican Enamelists."  She sold her work at bazaars and markets in Mexico. Her work is sought after by collectors, today for it's beauty and diversity.  See Painting with Fire, Masters of Enameling in America, 1930-1980 by Jazzar and Nelson.
